UTSA Shadow 2017

Each year we are proud to partner with UTSA's College of Architecture in participating in their annual 'Shadowing Day' Program. The purpose of the program is to prepare architecture students for the transition from academic institution to professional practice. To help with the transition, each student in the program, spends the day at a local architecture firm learning about the day-to-day operations of what it is like working at an architecture office. Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting Michelyn Smith, who is currently in the final year of the Masters Degree program. Michelyn spent the day visiting with everyone in the office and seeing what we were working on and learning a little bit about each of our roles within the firm. In her short time with us, we hope she found the experience equally educational and beneficial as we did. From all of us at Fisher Heck, we would like wish Michelyn well as she moves forward in her young architectural career and we thank UTSA for giving us the opportunity to get to know her.
