Paleteria San Antonio Grand Opening!

It's hard to believe it's been over a year since we first started working on the restoration, stabilization and adaptive-reuse of ten historic homes with the recently completed Yanaguana Garden of Hemisfair Park. For us, the best part of the whole process is finally seeing the buildings reactivated and given a new purpose within an increasingly vibrant urban park. Such was the case with yesterday's grand opening of Paleteria San Antonio, now inhabiting the historic Pereida House and marking the first business to open within the Yanaguana Garden. To help celebrate this milestone for the park, Derek, Celina, David and Robert journeyed over to the house for the grand opening ceremony and to sample some free paletas - they were delicious!

Paletería San Antonio is a husband & wife owned shop that offers agua frescas, homemade ice creams, and paletas - all made from 100% natural ingredients and a perfect fit for the child-friendly Yanaguana Garden playscape area. With Paleteria San Antonio off to a great start, we can't wait for our friends at Con Safos and Revolucion to have their grand openings next! In the meantime, we want to wish Joey and Cecy good luck in their new venture and we hope they enjoy their new digs as much as we enjoyed helping restore it! Below are some pictures of grand opening ceremony for your enjoyment.
