COMPLETE: Toyota Manufacturing Plant Lobby Renovation
Happy Fiesta everyone! We are excited to share some photos of our recently completed project at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas Plant, here in San Antonio. The plant is a huge tourist attraction within the city of San Antonio, attracting visitors and locals to tour the plant and witness their manufacturing process of the Toyota Tacoma and Tundra trucks. For many years, the lobby to the plant had been largely neglected from an interior design standpoint, and overall just lacked that great first impression a lobby is supposed to invoke. Toyota commissioned Fisher Heck to not only overhaul the interior design for the lobby, but also the plant's Executive Board Rooms and VIP Room. The project addressed wall colors, furniture, window treatments, flooring, artwork and lighting. One of the major features of the of lobby is a deconstructed display of various truck panels from each of the two trucks, that are hung from the ceiling down the center of the space. Other features include a custom Japanese-inspired screen wall in the VIP Room, a custom designed reception desk with a massive hand-made sign above, constructed entirely of stained plywood and galvanized nails.
For anyone who has not taken a tour of the plant before, we highly recommend it as it is a very impressive facility! You or your company can register for the free tour of the 2.2 million square foot plant by visiting the plant's website HERE.
