UTSA Shadow 2016

Each year we are honored to partner with UTSA's College of Architecture in participating in their annual 'Shadowing Day' Program. The purpose of the program is to prepare architecture students for the transition from academic institution to professional practice. To help with the transition, each student in the program, spends the day at a local architecture firm learning about the day-to-day operations of what it is like working at an architecture office. Last Friday, we had the privilege of hosting Raj Kalki, who is currently working on his Masters Degree with a certificate in Historic Preservation. Throughout the day, Raj spent the day visiting with everyone in the office and seeing what we were working on and learning a little bit about each of our roles within the firm. We followed that up with lunch at Rosario's and then a site visit to Hemisfair Park to see the progress on the adaptive reuse of ten historic houses. We wish Raj well in his remaining time at UTSA and hope he found the experience to be educational and beneficial. We certainly enjoyed having him!
