COMPLETE: Landmark Inn State Historic Site
On a perfect Saturday evening, the Landmark Inn State Historic Site held it's grand opening in celebration of the end of a major 2-year restoration effort. The historic hotel is located in quaint Castroville, Texas, which is a little over 20 miles west of San Antonio and provides a culture rich getaway for many San Antonio residents. Over a hundred visitors attended the grand opening, which included speeches from the mayor of Castroville, congressman Will Hurd and the Executive Director of the Texas Historical Commission, Mark Wolfe. Afterwards, people were free to tour the grounds while enjoying live music and refreshments. We'd like to thank all the people who contributed to the success of this project, for it has reaffirmed its place as symbol of pride for the city. It embodies all that Castroville is about and we are so thankful to be apart of it. All that's left to do is some landscaping around the campus, which should be completed sometime next year.
