Karnes County Courthouse wins Conservation Society Award!

We are thrilled to announce that the Karnes County Courthouse project was awarded a Historical Preservation Award from our friends at The Conservation Society of San Antonio! Congrats to all of this year’s winners - we are humbled to share this honor with you all.

The purpose for which it is formed is to preserve and to encourage the preservation of historic buildings, objects, places and customs relating to the history of Texas, its natural beauty and all that is admirably distinctive to our State; and by such physical and cultural preservation, to keep the history of Texas legible and intact to educate the public, especially the youth of today and tomorrow, with knowledge of our inherited regional values. The goal of the Awards Program is then to honor those who have reached the highest level of accomplishment in historic preservation and to recognize the highest quality of preservation of the built environment in an effort to educate the public about preservation and to encourage further contributions.

The ongoing pandemic caused the Spring ceremony to be postponed until this past week. This latest award for the project allows us to also share a great video of the building that was put together by the Texas Historical Commission.
