Preservation Texas Honor Awards 2016!

Last night, the non-profit organization Preservation Texas, handed out their annual honor awards for exemplary efforts in the field of historic restoration and rehabilitation throughout the state of Texas. Of the 19 awards given out to projects across the state, we are honored to be a part of three of the winning entries! The three projects included The Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum, The Bexar County 1896 Courtroom and the Proctor Green House. The annual ceremony took place at the historic State Theatre in Austin. “Preservation professionals and advocates have been hard at work in Texas,” said Evan Thompson, executive director of Preservation Texas. “We are proud to recognize individual and collective efforts to protect the irreplaceable cultural and architectural heritage of Texas.” Historic preservation has a $4.6 billion economic impact in Texas alone. Successful restoration and rehabilitation efforts continue to make a positive economic impact on local communities by creating jobs, encouraging tourism and enhancing the property tax base. We could not be happier for our clients who initiated each of these projects and deserve all the credit for their relentless dedication to preserving, restoring and rehabilitating these amazing structures so that future generations can appreciate and enjoy them just as much as we do.

Congratulations to all of this year's winners!
