Thoughts

The Claretian Founding House is not only a physically restored, historic resource; but it's also a re-established, valuable anchor in a historic part of downtown San Antonio.  The restoration included re-pointing the brick facade, installing a new standing seam metal roof, and replacing deteriorated limestone sills, missing stone accent pieces and deteriorated wood windows where needed. The complete renovation of the interior provided a new and improved communal living facility for the priests and brothers of the Order as the House was originally intended.   In addition, the redesigned site provides a soothing water fountain in the rear courtyard as well as several intimate spaces for individual reflection, communal gatherings, and combined functions with the parish community.
