Thoughts

Through an ongoing 12-year relationship, Fisher Heck has worked with Woodland Church on a campus master plan and two significant projects that have strengthened the church’s identity, improved functionality, and enhanced connections across the campus. The first project transformed an underused breezeway between existing buildings into a new lobby and primary entrance serving the Sunday school, creating a stronger sense of arrival while improving circulation and visual connectivity.

More recently, Fisher Heck completed a renovation and expansion of the sanctuary, narthex, and foyer, reshaping key interior spaces to support worship, fellowship, and gathering. New interventions were carefully integrated with the existing architecture, so the campus reads as a cohesive whole rather than a collection of additions. Together, the master plan and completed projects reflect a long-term approach to thoughtful campus growth and preserving the character of Woodland Church while creating contemporary spaces that are more welcoming, functional, and responsive to the congregation’s evolving needs.
