Thoughts

Designed as a modern landmark for the UT Health University campus, the Pavilion was envisioned as a two-story hub that balances public utility with administrative function, though the project concluded at the schematic design phase and remains unbuilt. The design features a climate-controlled lower level dedicated to an enclosed food court and flexible conference rooms, while the upper floor provides a light-filled professional workspace for the Facility Planning and Construction Department. Strategically replacing an existing plaza, the architecture emphasizes transparency and shade through expansive glazing and deep overhangs, all while introducing a new Paseo and lush landscaping to transform the site into a cohesive, pedestrian-oriented campus destination.
