Thoughts

This 88 acre site features a gentle sloping terrain and wide open views of the sky and horizon. To capture these views, a new home for an Austin couple will be built to meet very high sustainable and energy efficiency goals. The new home will feature a large sloping butterfly roof for rainwater harvesting, solar power generation and window shading. A tight, well insulated envelope will allow for a decreased system usage throughout the year, while a thoroughly connected network within the home will allow for precise monitoring and optimization of mechanical and electrical systems. The project is currently in the design phase.
