Thoughts

Situated within the rolling landscape of the Hill Country in Ingram, TX, this new administration building takes on a vernacular design aesthetic, inspired by many of the surrounded industrial buildings in the area with its predominate corrugated metal facade and roof. A limestone wainscot and columns provoke a sense of solidarity for the building against the lightweight metal cladding above. The administration building provides the staff of the christian organization private office space, conference room, library, and prayer chapel. Because the organization has limited funds and staffing, low-maintenance, drought-tolerant xeriscape landscaping was designed around the building to compliment the surrounding landscape.
