Thoughts

"With Respect" is the english translation for one of Hemisfair Park's first tenants within one of the ten recently restored historic homes situated throughout the park. Located within the newly developed Yanaguana Garden of Hemisfair Park, Con Safos Cocina Y Cantina is a family-friendly Bar & Kitchen that aims to foster the spirit of San Antonio through art, music, and food. The eclectic interior emphasises all of the original wood trim with a rich black paint that contrasts with the simple white plaster and masonry walls. Original wood floors were also salvaged and refinished, helping tie each space to each other. A new butcher-block style bar has a clear finish to lighten the overall mood of happy hour, making for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. This trend continues outside with a large expansive new deck that connects Con Safos with its twin home, Commonwealth Coffeehouse.  The two establishments operate at different times of the day, allowing for each to take full advantage of all the additional seating.
