Louis Pasteur Retail Center

In the heart of the Medical Center on a major thoroughfare, the new Louis Pasteur Retail Center introduces some Hill Country flavor into the midst of a very large-scale institutional environment. The 8,500 square foot center, sitting on a snug site bordered by two other streets, features truncated limestone columns, a standing seam metal roof canopy, and a wood glu-lam beam in the front and exposed wood decking under the canopy. The corner facing the intersection of Louis Pasteur and Salk features a tower as an identifying feature, and is lit at night as a landmark. The upper walls of the building are punctuated with rusted metal stars, completing the Hill Country theme.
