Jim Heck, AIA, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Sciences and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy N.Y. After working in the New York area for three years, Jim moved to San Antonio in 1976. Jim teamed with Lewis Fisher to form Fisher Heck, Inc. in 1984.
Jim is both a Registered Architect and Registered Interior Designer in the State of Texas. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is a Certified Construction Specifier.
Active in professional and civic organizations, Jim is a past president of the San Antonio chapter of the American Institute of Architects and past vice president of the Texas Society of Architects. He has served as president of the Construction Specifications Institute, San Antonio Chapter, and is a member of the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, and Architecture. Jim's professional background led to his appointment as chairman of the City of Hollywood Park Board of Appeals. In addition, Jim has served on the Board of Directors for numerous non-profit organizations in the San Antonio Community.
