Inspired by the vitality of great cities, Lewis Fisher, AIA, takes an urbanists view of architecture. He believes that urban buildings can create the most vibrant of all human spaces. His in-fill residential developments are designed to fit within the context of their place while bringing new residents to old neighborhoods. His historic preservation projects make bold statements about the history of a significant area. His efforts to revitalize commercial districts have lead to the transformation of urban corridors, renewing their economic vitality and restoring their urban and architectural character. Currently involved in projects for VIA, the metropolitan transit authority of San Antonio, Texas, Lewis is designing the new transit station for the Southwest Medical Center.
My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing people using and enjoying the urban spaces that we have helped create or restore.
