New site master plan

Concordia Lutheran Church

The mission of Concordia is to blend conservative theology with contemporary expression.
Concordia was in need of a modified master plan that would include the design of a 15,000 S.F. multipurpose building, small chapel, and a Sanctuary that will eventually seat 3,000 worshipers. The existing campus is located on a 45 acre site in North San Antonio, bordering Loop 1604. The multipurpose building will house the choir, nursery, bookstore, and large meeting rooms.
The centerpiece of the design is the new Sanctuary, which will be completed in two phases. The building committee for the project was interested in creating a “landmark for Jesus”. This was addressed with a 120 foot tower that will be internally lit and highly visible from the adjacent highway and surrounding area.
