Courthouses of Central Texas

A great new book is now available by our good friend Brantley Hightower, that for the first time, provides a thorough architectural survey of the different courthouses throughout central area of the state. The book is titled The Courthouses of Central Texas and is available for purchase from Amazon and directly from the publisher.  It all began six years ago when Brantley stepped into our office wanting to see our drawings for Atascosa County Courthouse that we restored back in 2004. Now we could have been total jerks and told him to go take a hike! But after he explained his vision for the project, we had to lend him our support. Come to find out, we were actually the first ones he came to visit for his research and so we like to think we provided some form of momentum for him to stick with it and keep going! So with that, we offer our very sincere congratulations to Brantley and encourage all of you to go check out this great resource of Texas history.
