San Antonio Animal Care Facility

Birds eye rendering of the Animal Care Services Facility Master Plan

City of San Antonio Animal Care Services Facility

As part of a bond package passed in 2004, this $8.5 million project will replace the city’s aging and cramped facility for the animal control division of San Antonio’s Public Health Department.
To be built on a new 15 acre site, the 14 building facility will include an administration building with a welcome center, education and meeting facilities, triage unit, kennels for dogs, cats and other animals, and a “get acquainted” area for potential adopters to meet the animals.
