"The architects have done a wonderful job integrating high technology audio and video presentation systems within a beautifully restored historic courtroom."

Bexar County Courthouse
225th District Court Restoration
and Technical Enhancements

The restored 225th District Court is the model for high technology courtrooms in South Texas.

Incorporating state-of the art technology provided by a grant from SBC Corporation, the historic courtroom has been restored to its 1926 grandeur.

Working with technology consultants, historians and conservators, FisherHeck has carefully integrated the technology without negatively impacting the visual appearance of the restored space.

The court has remote testimony (video conferencing) capability, "real-time" court reporting, electronice evidence presentation and recording systems, along with appropriate internet access capabilities.

FisherHeck worked closely with the Texas Historical Commission to ensure that the restoration would be in keeping with historic preservation guidelines while incorporating modern lighting and air conditioning systems, and providing access for the disabled.
